Exchange Program RIA welcomes delegates from UK

Reliance Int’l Academy welcomed delegates from different schools of UK. The visit was done under British Council in collaboration with Ministry of Education, Nepal for Connecting Classroom Project of UK schools and RIA. Delegates were warmly welcomed by the Riyarians on valuable presence of Honorable Chair Mr. Rabindra Jung Thapa on 24th January. Previously, honorable principal of RIA, Mr. Khem Lal Bhusal and academic vice–principal and International School Coordinator Mr. Basanta Lal Lamichhane were invited by different partner schools of UK for connecting classroom project.

Following the same culture, RIA invited a group of ISA coordinators and teachers from different schools of UK like Nick from Brauton Academy, Garaeth from South Molten Community College, John from Pilton College and Josephine from Bradford Community College. Students conducted Thematic Assembly addressing to the Martyrs of Nepal which was impressing and informative to all. In the assembly, a delegate from Brauton Academy, Mr. Nick gave an inspiring and motivational speech on hard labour of students for the successful completion in different projects under International School Award and congratulated entire RIA family for being awarded IS Award for the year 2015–2018 AD. Additionally cultural dance preformed by Miss Jyoti Sapkota and taekwondo demonstration by RIA Taekwondo Dojang was highly appreciated by the delegates.

Under the connecting classroom with UK schools, delegates visited different classes of RIA and made interaction with the teachers and students. During the interaction students, teachers and delegates compared education system of UK and Nepal. Similarly penpal, amazing places and cultural differences between UK and Nepal were highlighted during the interaction which was also the topics under ISA project. Students exchanged the letters and greeting cards with the delegates.
